“Protects goods better”

It is not unlikely that the apple or the tomato we eat has been delivered by fruit and vegetable wholesaler Everfresh. The company has a turnover of SEK 4.4 billion and delivers 110,000 parcels per day to KF Sweden, Bergendals, different wholesale customers and a number of other shops.

“A number of years ago we decided to deliver as much as possible in returnable crates. So far it includes, in principle, all of our Swedish grown goods with a few exceptions such as potatoes and onions.  That is to say, between 25-30 percent of our product range", says Hans Jönsson, business development manager at Everfresh also passionate about logistics.

“The foremost advantages with returnable crates are that they protect goods better and that they are so simple to handle, almost like Legos. Plus everything looks nice and neat when it is delivered to the customer!”
